Horizons 2010

The International Center for Marianist Formation (ICMF), in collaboration with the General Administration of the Society of Mary, announces that planning is underway for Horizons ’10.   Horizons ‘10 is a program of ongoing formation for members of the Society of Mary  who have made perpetual vows and are under the age of 40 (discussion is underway for the participation of the Marianist Sisters also).

 

There have been three previous Horizons program: 1995, 1998 and 2005. On this page you will see the photos of those groups as well as of some of the activities from the 2005 program.  Brother Tom Giardino of the ICMF will direct the program with an international team presently being gathered.  The dates and the site have been determined:

 

  • Dates:
    10 July – 10 August 2010


  • Coordinating Team:
    The following Marianists have generously accepted to be on the Coordinating Team for Horizons 2010. They will met in Rome in July of 2008 to begin planning for the program.

    Dave Fleming, SM, is presently in Bangalore, India living and teaching scholastics after ten years as Superior General.  Dave was on the Team for the first two Horizons programs.

    Hugo de Diego, SM, is a dynamic young brother of the Zaragoza Province who works in a Marianist secondary school in Zaragoza.  Hugo spent some significant time in India on sabbatical some years back.

    Juliana Mun In-Hye, FMI, is from the Region of Korea where she serves on the Regional Council. She has recently moved to Seoul after serving in a parish in Kyeonggido where she was much appreciated, especially for her commitment to the poor.

    Remy Sandah, SM, SM from the Region of Togo, has moved to Rome as of January 2008 to assist in the Office of Temporalities where his talents and multi-language skills are used in many ways. He has spent years in formation with scholastics and aspirants.

    Tom Giardino, SM, is the Executive Director of the International Center for Marianist Formation. Tom has directed the Horizons programs since their beginning in 1998.
