Mary, Queen of Apostles

Dear brothers and Sisters of the Marianist Family:

Today, members of the Society of Mary remember the 193rd anniversary of our first brothers professing religious vows in the newly founded congregation for men within the Marianist Family. However, all members of the Marianist Family have reason to celebrate and rededicate themselves today under the title of Mary, Queen of Apostles. It is with great pleasure that I write you on this special day.

I begin my new ministry to the Marianist Family with feelings of excitement, humility and gratitude. The International Center for Marianist Formation (ICMF) stands on the threshold of becoming an even more active collaborator with the new Zonal Formation Centers located throughout the Marianist world and all branches of the Marianist Family. Together, on a local, zonal and global level we hope to meet the needs for the formational and spiritual growth of all Marianists.

I am also humbled that the General Administration has asked me to build on the excellent work already being sponsored by the ICMF. I can only hope and pray my gifts and talents can bring the ICMF to a new level of acceptance and understanding. This can only be accomplished with your help and support.

Lastly, I am very grateful to Bro. Tom Giardino, founder of the ICMF and his assistant Mrs. Roser Williams. Words will never be able to express the appreciation for all they have accomplished during the last 9 years. I am sure I speak for the entire Marianist Family when I say thank you and may God continue to bless you!
